Shipping Policy
Thank you for choosing AxosPro. We specialize in delivering commercial-grade kitchen equipment directly to your job site or business. Because our products are large, heavy, and typically ship via freight, our shipping procedures differ from standard parcel deliveries.
Please review our shipping policies below to ensure a seamless delivery process.
1. Shipping Methods & Order Processing
-
Standard Parcel Shipping: Smaller items (such as commercial blenders, water filters, or replacement parts) will ship via standard ground carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, or DHL).
-
Freight Shipping (LTL): Large equipment (such as commercial refrigerators, ranges, hoods, and dishwashers) is shipped via Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) Freight on heavy-duty wooden pallets or crates.
-
Processing Time: In-stock items are typically processed and prepared for shipment within [2–4] business days. Custom-fabricated or special-order items will have longer lead times, which will be communicated to you at the time of purchase.
2. Freight Delivery Requirements (Important)
Commercial freight delivery requires specific accommodations. Please read the following requirements carefully:
Business vs. Residential Delivery
Our standard freight quotes assume delivery to a zoned commercial business address equipped with a standard loading dock or a forklift.
-
Residential Delivery: If your delivery address is a home, home-based business, apartment, or located in a strictly residential zone, you must select Residential Delivery at checkout. Freight carriers charge an additional fee for navigating residential areas.
-
Limited Access Locations: Schools, churches, military bases, construction sites, and government buildings are considered "limited access" by carriers and may incur additional delivery fees.
Liftgate Service
Freight trucks are designed to unload onto a loading dock or via a forklift.
-
If your facility does not have a loading dock or a forklift, you must request a Liftgate Service at checkout.
-
A liftgate is a motorized platform on the back of the freight truck that safely lowers your heavy appliance from the truck bed to the ground.
⚠️ Note: If a carrier arrives and a liftgate is required but was not paid for in advance, the carrier may refuse delivery, and you will be billed for redelivery and liftgate fees.
3. Shipping Rates & Destinations
-
Domestic Shipping: We ship to the contiguous United States. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on total weight, dimensions, and delivery distance.
-
International Shipping: Currently, we [do / do not] ship directly outside of the United States. For international orders, we can deliver to your preferred domestic freight forwarder.
-
Estimated Delivery Times: Standard freight delivery typically takes [3–7] business days once the item leaves our warehouse, depending on your location.
4. The Delivery Day Checklist (Crucial for the Buyer)
When the freight truck arrives, you or an authorized representative must be present to inspect and sign for the shipment. The carrier will not drop off freight unattended.
Before signing the driver’s Bill of Lading (BOL), you must complete the following:
-
Step 1: Check the Count. Verify that the number of pallets/crates matches the number listed on the delivery receipt.
-
Step 2: Inspect for External Damage. Look closely at the packaging. Is the pallet broken? Is the shrink-wrap torn? Are there puncture marks or crushed corners in the cardboard/crating?
-
Step 3: Document Everything. If you see any signs of damage, you must write "DAMAGED" on the driver’s Bill of Lading before they leave. Take clear, high-resolution photos of the packaging and the equipment.
-
Step 4: Refuse if Severely Damaged. If the appliance is visibly destroyed or severely dented, refuse the delivery entirely, note "Refused due to damage" on the BOL, and contact us immediately.
🚨 Warning: Signing the Bill of Lading without noting any damage indicates that the equipment arrived in perfect condition. Once signed "clean," the freight carrier will deny all damage claims, and AxosPro will not be able to provide a replacement or refund.
5. Delivery Delays, Redelivery, and Storage Fees
-
Delivery Appointments: The freight carrier will typically call you 24 hours in advance to schedule a delivery window.
-
Missed Deliveries: If you miss your scheduled delivery appointment, the carrier will charge a redelivery fee. This fee must be paid before the carrier attempts a second delivery.
-
Storage Fees: If the carrier cannot reach you or cannot deliver the equipment within [3] business days of arrival at their local terminal, they may charge daily storage fees, which will be billed to the customer.
